The Borough of Southmont is accepting applications for the part-time position of Public Works Employee with the possibility of a full-time position becoming available. Job functions are conducted in an environment which may require strenuous physical effort and frequent exposure to the weather. Candidates must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting and handle materials and supplies; can understand and follow oral and written instructions; and must hold and maintain a valid PA driver’s license. Candidates should be knowledgeable of safety requirements and know the basic operation of maintenance equipment. The Borough is looking for candidates that are self-starters, able to work well with others, able to work alone with minimal supervision and able to maintain a professional attitude when conversing with the public.
