The West Hills Regional Police would like to remind Southmont Borough residents to be alert and strongly urge residents to contact the West Hills Police Department immediately if they have reason to suspect that drug or other criminal activities are occurring, regardless of the hour, and an Officer will immediately respond. Calling the next day or later gives Officers less of an opportunity to apprehend the suspects. There were recently significant arrests made from a simple call reporting a noise complaint. Residents with home surveillance systems with video capabilities are also asked to contact the Police Office if they suspect that their system has captured suspicious activity. All information will remain confidential. A West Hills Regional Police Officer can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by calling the 814-255-4145 (if not answered, the call will roll over to the 911 non-emergency number 1-814-472-2100). Residents are instructed to dial 911 if an emergency situation should arise.
