The Borough is pleased to announce that it has approved a new three-year contract with Pro Disposal for 2026 through 2028. This contract ensures continued reliable service for our community while also introducing new and expanded waste-management options for residents. One of the most significant additions under this contract is the implementation of curbside recycling, which will begin during the contract period. Pro Disposal will provide one 95-gallon trash cart and one 95-gallon recycling cart. If you need a smaller cart or an additional cart, please contact Pro Disposal directly.

In addition, the Borough has updated how bulk and junk items will be collected. Rather than holding a single annual junk collection, the Borough has opted for a monthly bulk-item collection, providing residents with more flexibility and convenience throughout the year. Each household will be permitted to place either one bulk item—such as a sofa, mattress, stove, or similar large item—or the equivalent of up to 12 contractor-sized bags of household items. You have an allotment of 12 free bulk items per year and you decide how many bulk item pick-ups to use per month and which month(s) to utilize this service. This change is intended to make disposal easier and reduce the need to store unwanted items for long periods of time. PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST CALL PRO DISPOSAL AHEAD OF TIME TO SCHEDULE A BULK/JUNK ITEM PICK UP.
